MuseumThe rivers have always been a source of life, but they used to represent also the only motive power. Different trades (water-mills, saw-mills, forges) developed along the rivers. In order to keep at least a small part of the cultural and architectural heritage from the Alps and Karavanken Mountains alive, an open-air museum was organized in the Tržiška Bistrica Valley, on a spot directly at the river.

MuseumChildren love to visit the cattle-pound where they can admire moufflons and fallow-deer, while their parents can choose something wholesome from a large selection of medicinal herbs and honeybee products.

MuseumThe open-air museum and the restaurant can be a Sunday trip destination, but also a starting point for a hiking trip to the nearby mountains or to the famous Dovžan's Gorge (Dovžanova soteska).
